By supporting The Post , you’re helping students have college-defining experiences that provide valuable career and leadership skills through journalism. Every OHIO student who becomes a Postie learns a multitude of skills that they need to succeed after graduation

The Post  provides a structured, practical, experiential learning environment for students to cultivate a multitude of skills. Ohio University students apply skills and knowledge gained in the classroom through special projects, multimedia and editorial coverage of a wide range of topics relating to student interests, as well as state and national issues.

Not every student who joins The Post  will end up in a media-related field. Regardless of a student’s career goals, the experience your gift allows them to gain at The Post  provides transferable leadership and career skills in whatever profession they choose.

The Post  generates revenue through advertising dollars and donor-generated funds to support the work of student editorial and business staff members each year. However, with advertising dollars on the decline, your gift is more important than ever.

The Post is an award-winning, editorially independent, student-run newspaper at Ohio University that prides itself in media innovation and detailed storytelling. As a significant source of information in the both the Athens community and on the Ohio University campus, The Post has evolved from a daily printed newspaper to a digital-first online publication supplemented by a weekly printed tabloid.
