Your gift to the LGBT Center and its Pride Fund supports educational and community development programs and workshops that connect LGBTQ+ students, alumni, and other supporters of our LGBT Center.
Our LGBT Center cultivates safe and civil university and community environments that affirm diverse forms of sexuality, gender identity and expression, and queerness.
Our programming, resources, educational opportunities, and community outreach efforts focus on the unique academic, cultural, and social needs of LGBTQ+ students as well as OHIO staff, faculty, alumni, and members of the wider community.
Your support helps to make the work we do possible.
John Corlett ‘81 and Will Wemer ‘08 are joining forces to challenge donors to support the LGBT Center Pride Fund! Just 20 donations unlocks a $2,500 gift! John is the President and Executive Director of The Center for Community Solutions in Cleveland. John is an advocate and staunch supporter of student success at Ohio University, and understands how impactful the LGBT Center is for helping our students feel welcome and accepted into our community. Will (he/him) is Senior Officer of Foundation Relations at Research Initiatives at Boston Children's Hospital. During his time at OHIO, he was a regular at the LGBT Center, collaborating with other Bobcats on raising the visibility of the LGBTQ community both on and off campus.
In collaboration with academic, co-curricular, and community-based partners, we support LGBTQ+ learning, engagement, access, and retention. Through trainings, presentations, strategic communications, social gatherings, and other initiatives, we highlight networks of support for LGBTQ+ individuals, on and off campus.
We serve and celebrate people of all genders, orientations, and expressions of identity by helping them find productive ways to navigate intersections of diverse identities, experiences, and perspectives.
