Your gift to the Ebony Bobcat Network (EBN) Urban Scholarship Endowment will help provide scholarships for deserving students from urban areas across the state of Ohio.

The EBN Urban Scholarship Endowment, created in honor of President Roderick McDavis, Ohio University’s first African American president, provides life-changing tuition assistance to students accepted into the Urban Scholars Program. The Urban Scholars Program provides scholarships and professional development support to high achieving students from urban school districts across the state of Ohio.

Michael '80 and Paula Price will be matching all gifts made to the EBN Urban Scholarship Endowment during OHIO Giving Day, up to $2,500! “We believe in the importance of providing resources to help students from urban communities be able to afford a college education. We know how important a college education was in opening doors and allowing us to move our careers forward. We also know that the lack of financial resources can often impede otherwise talented young people from access to educational opportunities, and the preparation necessary for future success.” Michael is a 1980 OHIO graduate with a BS in Communications. His career includes nearly 30 years in advertising sales and sales management. He has worked in Chicago, London, New York and Boston. He was a regional developer, and franchise business owner with SpeedPro Imaging in the Boston area for 10 years. He sold his business in October 2020. He now lives in New York City with his wife and son. He is now working independently as a management and sales consultant for a small to medium size businesses. Paula has an undergraduate degree in accounting from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago in finance. She has had over 30 years of corporate financial experience, including top positions at Macy’s and Ahold USA. She is now focused on corporate board work.

All gifts to this endowment will be matched 50 cents on the dollar through June 30, 2024, as part of the Ohio Match Scholarship Program.
