The Center for International Studies (CIS) is the hub of Ohio University’s global research, teaching, and training in African, Asian, European, and Latin American Studies, as well as Communication and Development Studies, International Development Studies, War & Peace Studies, Global Leadership, and World Languages. With its visionary and multidisciplinary programs, CIS engages faculty and students across the campuses and provides transformative learning experiences to prepare students to be leaders in an increasingly interdependent global community.
As the academic arm of the Office of Global Affairs and International Studies, the CIS comprises more than 160 affiliated faculty. More than 280 students participate in its degree and certificate programs. CIS is proud of its diversity in the student body as it enrolls students from more than 35 countries.
