School of Music Momentum 2021 Campaign

Your gift today, in any amount, to the School of Music Fund helps meet the immediate needs of our students, faculty and programs! Your participation matters most.

The School of Music at OHIO is growing and thriving. Over the past 4 years the School of Music has grown by 18% and is now the second largest school in the College of Fine Arts. Your support, at any level, helps keep that momentum moving forward meeting the unexpected critical needs.

To ensure that our students are getting the best virtual and in-person experience this year, the School of Music has invested in and provided crucial equipment, tools and resources to deliver access to our program of artistic excellence, including high quality microphones, video cameras, various software applications, and low latency, synchronous rehearsal environments.

We endeavor to provide our students with the tools and resources necessary to cultivate their craft, and with your generous support, we can make this a reality.

Your investment in the Movement 2021 fundraising campaign can support:

Student Scholarships

  • Scholarships
  • Graduate Fellowships

Equipment and Operational Needs

  • Music stands and chairs
  • Instrument replacement for methods, music education, and music therapy courses
  • Recital Hall technology upgrades including lapel mics, updated lighting system, live-streaming technology, etc.

We invite you to partner with us to help ensure that current and future generations of student musicians, scholars, educators, therapists, and composers can be beneficiaries of the distinctive and transformative Ohio University School of Music educational experience.

The School of Music is interested in creating a new fund to support guest artist and scholar residencies from BIPOC and historically underrepresented populations. We aspire to call this new fund the School of Music PRISM (Promoting Resilience and Inclusivity Scholarship in Music) Visiting Artist Fund. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please contact Kate Albe, Director of Development, College of Fine Arts at albe@ohio.edu.
