Although this campaign has concluded, it's easy to give to Ohio University and support Student Affairs.

Welcoming Bobcats Home

You Can Make A Difference For Current Students

Ohio University Wants Students To Feel Welcome And Ready For The Year To Come

We’re thrilled to welcome students back to a more robust in-person OHIO experience this fall. As we do, we want ensure every student has the resources and support they need to thrive in and out of the classroom. Your gift of any size to one of these important funds directly contributes to this important mission.

Again and again, we hear this phrase from our caring alumni: Bobcats help Bobcats. Can you chip in to help welcome a Bobcat home to the place that has forever shaped you for the better?

Learning Communities

OHIO Learning Communities are an important way we help first-year and transfer students connect with one another and their new campus: by taking a common set of courses together, each LC helps new students feel supported in their transition to college life, engage with campus and their coursework, and connect with other Bobcats. All communities include a student peer mentor — a positive role model and a resource for students in the LCs during the semester.

Division of Student Affairs Food Pantry Support Fund

More than a third of college students suffer from food insecurity nationwide. Students who cannot afford food tend to skip meals or eat insufficient portion sizes, which can in turn lead to lower test scores, grades, and lower graduation rates. The Food Pantry Support Fund ensures that Athens Campus students have access to the fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable food they need; we anticipate 3,000 pantry visits this academic year.

Student Emergency Fund

Unforeseen circumstances such as family deaths, natural disasters, loss of income, or displacement can uproot students’ personal and academic experience. Fortunately, The Office of the Dean of Students’ Student Emergency Fund exists to cover safety needs, emergency medical bills, rent, utilities, groceries and/or childcare during personal crises, so students can focus on their education and attain their dream of a college degree. We expect hundreds of students to apply for a needed microgrant this year. Note: The typical applicant is incredibly hard-working; more than 96% of Emergency Microgrant student applicants work at least 15 hours per week, in addition to academic demands.

Counseling and Psychological Services

The Counseling and Psychological Services department (inside Hudson Health Center) supports mental health services to students, and consultation to faculty, administrators, and parents/guardians of students. These programs and appointment-based and 24/7 on-demand services help students better understand themselves and navigate their difficulties, and ultimately make healthier choices for their lives. To ensure access for all OHIO students, in-person and virtual offerings will be available throughout this academic year. Your gift helps fund ongoing staff training and development opportunities.

University Libraries Enrichment

The University Libraries support Ohio University students and faculty by aiding in their learning, research, and teaching. OHIO’s University Libraries (a member of the prestigious Association of Research Libraries) ranks in the top 100+ research libraries in North America. Your gift directly supports the purchase of print and electronic collections that are made accessible to all students.
