Although this campaign has concluded, it's easy to give to Ohio University and support Linguistics.
Dr. Gilbert Schneider and Dr. Robert Dakin co-founded the department in 1970 after Gil and his wife, Mildred, returned from doing linguistic missionary work in West Africa. In 2020, the department put its anniversary recognition on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the Linguistics Department in this 50th Anniversary Year. We have been through a lot in the past few years, but have stood firm in our mission to deliver the best preparation in theory-driven, empirically validated applications for teaching and research to our students throughout the world. Your donation will help support present- and future-applied linguistics students to travel to conferences and present their research. — Dr. David Bell, Associate Professor & Chair
If you want to support OHIO Linguistics in other ways, such as by check or stock transfer, please notify OHIO's Office of Annual Giving of your interest so this campaign can be updated with your gift. Thank you!
