We use this month as a call to our OHIO community to study the history of Black Americans and help cultivate an environment where Black life can be sustained, protected and respected.

OHIO’s Division of Diversity and Inclusion has curated a list of 12 funds that directly impact students and campus life. In recognition of OHIO's Black community, we invite you to please make a gift today to support scholarships, programs, or the arts.

Your donation helps students earn more than a degree: you’re bringing them the hands-on experiences that will transform them into community leaders, creative thinkers, and people who change the world. Thank you!

Your actions now will make the Black History Month 2023 participation goal of 23 donors quickly attainable. Here are four things alumni, families, and friends can do to support a bright future for Black students:

• Make a gift here, in support of this crowdfunding campaign.
• Mail a check (payable to The Ohio University Foundation) to The Ohio University Foundation, PO Box 869, Athens, OH 45701; be sure to write the name of the fund you want to support on the memo line.
• Please connect with Caryn Bailey to support a diversity-focused transformational gift. To support a college scholarship or area, contact the Office of Annual Giving.
• If you want to explore making a charitable gift to this campaign with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), giving via a Donor Advised Fund or stock transfer, please also reach out to the Office of Annual Giving.
