Your support helps those who will continue to blaze those trails and continue a legacy of women’s excellence at the University. With March being Women’s History Month, we honor those who blazed the trail at OHIO. The Women’s Center comes together to create programs and events that help bring awareness and increase understanding of issues impacting women, gender equity, and justice at OHIO and beyond. We do this through collaboration, dialogue, and purposeful action. We create a welcoming feminist space for students of all genders, personal identities, and so much more.
The Women’s Center offers programs and resources like International Women’s Coffee which is an opportunity for international women and their allies to meet others, discuss current events, play games, practice English and other languages, and listen to music from all over the world.

Here are five things alumni, students, and friends can do to support a brighter future for the Women's Center at Ohio University:
Martha Blackburn was the first black woman to graduate from Ohio University back in 1916. Honor her legacy of being the first woman of color to receive a degree from Ohio University.
Women sadly only make 83% of the median salary that men do. The wage gap is even larger for women of color.
In 1987, Congress declared March Women’s History month which brings gives us a chance to honor the critical role women have played in history.
Women’s Center at Ohio University was founded in 2007 helping bring programing, resources and build a community of strong women and likeminded people.
