Your gift today will provide critical support for OHIO’s Speaking Bobcats, offering funding for travel to tournaments, entrance fees, and helping this talented group of students to excel outside of the classroom. 

Tournaments enable our students to develop skills in debate, extemporaneous speaking, oratory & rhetorical criticism, and oral interpretation. These skills are carried with our students in the classroom and beyond, paying dividends for a lifetime. 

The Forensics program, through the School of Communication Studies, provides the opportunity for all University students to meet and compete with fellow outstanding undergraduates from over 300 colleges and universities.

Ohio University’s Speech and Debate team has a long legacy of bringing home tournament wins.

In February, the Ohio University won the Ohio Forensic Association State Championship for the 4th year in a row!  Most recently, the team attended Pi Kappa Delta Nationals at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Our team placed 3rd in Individual Events and 4th in Speech and Debate combined Sweepstakes.
